  • Applications

    When using traditional springs, for example, when four TU5000s with a stroke length of 200 are separated in the mold, the initial force of each stroke is 20 tons, and the final force is 30 tons. Chart 1


    When using the mold to separate the nitrogen gas spring in the same application, the driving force of each stroke is only 10% compared to the TU spring. Chart 2


    The NDS spring takes 1 to 2 minutes to fully return, and the speed is very slow. However, when the production is completed and the spring returns to the standby position, this speed has no negative effect. Depending on the production speed, the piston rod will swing about 10% of its total stroke length during the production process.

    We cannot guarantee the absolute constant speed of the return stroke, so the NDS nitrogen gas spring is suitable for single die, that is, the number of pillars is not more than 4 die. Some progressive dies with multiple modules are more sensitive to the drawer effect, so NDS nitrogen gas springs are not suitable.
